I’ve always been a light sleeper, not necessarily slept poorly but can easily function on below the recommended daily sleep on a continual basis. Often when I wake in the morning I feel the need to get straight up and out of bed as my legs become somewhat restless, achy and keen to get moving. I’ve also never understood the facinatation of someone crowing on a monday morning saying they had spent all day Sunday lying in bed watching films etc
Granted that was before kids but still, people I know have an additional love affair with their beds… I’ve not got that… until now, until my Simba Hybrid Mattress.

We’ve been working with Simba for the past month now following them asking if we’d like to try out their Simba Hybrid Mattress and I have to confess, I’m a changed man! I don’t think we (Mrs F and I) have been the type to skimp on a mattress during our time together, we recognised the importance of sleep and that on average you spend just as much time at work than we do sleeping on a mattress so we need something which is comfortable and well made…. that coupled with the fact Mrs F has a condition called Fibromyalgia which means she suffers from serve muscle spasms and struggles sometimes on a continual basis with chronic aches and pains… having little / interrupted sleep can inflame the situation and make it much worse. As a result we’ve always gone for a memory foam based mattress / memory foam topper in order to help aid such sleep. If someone was to ask if my previous mattresses have been fit for purpose I would have said yes up until a month ago, sure We had to replace our memory foam topper as it went seriously out of shape, and yes, I could feel the hard springs underneath our previous memory foam topper bed despite the hefty price tag but truth be told, I’d never known any different, as I said previously, we’d never skimped on a mattress so had no reason to believe them to be poor.
The Simba Hybrid Mattress not only comes boxed (yes boxed) and in air tight packaging (alongside a handy Simba cutting tool to unwrap), it also comes with a mammoth 100 NIGHT TRIAL meaning if you don’t feel the difference and love your mattress within the first 100 night, you can send it back for a refund no questions asked. Simba would them donate your mattress to a charitable cause so don’t worry, it won’t go to waste. That said, I’d also bet very little take Simba up on their pretty confident promise given how amazing their mattresses really are.
After letting our Simba Hybrid Mattress “settle” for a minimum of 3 hours, it has soon firmed out and thanks to the very kind delivery drivers for giving the kids permission, it was ready for some little feet to jump on the bed. The mattress stood the test and quickly reshaped by to its normal shape after each jump…. the box is also fantastic if you want to distract your children whilst you enjoy getting familiar with your new best friend 🙂
The reason for my clear crowing of the Simba Hybrid Mattress is thanks to their 5 layer technology, yes, each mattress has 5 layers. This means that not only does this 25cm deep mattress stay in shape, thanks to its 2,500 unique conical pocket springs, which by the way are only 20mm each, it also means that you can’t feel them as you’ll have to past the top layers of Simba’s hypoallergenic sleep surface which ensures air flow, freshness and temperature control as well as their patented Simbatex which not only gives you that initial “cuddle” you’d expect from memory foam but does so with cool gentle support.
Underneath all those minute springs you’ll then find a further layer of Visco memory foam which moulds to the shape of your body so the mattress becomes tailored to you before finally you’ll reach the support base which has seven different zones to help ensure the perfect nights sleep, and the is just what you get.
Technology aside, since we have had the Simba Hybrid Mattress I have most definitely found a new love for sleeping, no longer get that ‘achy legs syndrome’ I was frequently used to when waking each morning, instead I wake feeling much more relaxed, rested and also long to spend a day in bed like many others I know do.
Mrs F has seen a remarkable difference to her Fibromyalgia too, since we have started using it, she’s not had the type of flare ups she is often used to, is certainly sleeping much better and is also feeling much more positive in her self as well, it really is amazing what a quality mattress can do. Given the fact we’ve tried multiple differing solutions to try and calm Mrs F’s flare ups to a minimum, this mattress is certainly doing that so far.
Don’t take our word for it either, you only have to do a google search of reviews to find thousands of people who are enjoying the same glorious sleep as we now are. I’d never look back now and for anyone looking for their next mattress, I’d instantly recommend the Simba Hybrid Mattress.
Happy Sleeping
NB: We were provided with a Simba Hybrid Mattress in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my (and Mrs Fs) own. I would happily recommend it to anyone who asked.
