Review: OXO Tots Divided Feeding Dish & Soft Silicon Spoon Set
Those regular readers will know we are currently going through the weaning stage with D and as part of that we wanted to ensure we Baby Led Weaned as much as possible but equally having puree’s also help to bridge the gap between ensuring they get a good variety of flavours in them as well as eating enough.
Having multi-purpose products to use really help when taking this approach and the OXO Tots Divided Feeding Dish is just that. Available in 3 different colours (Pink, Green and Aqua) this dual sections bowl is perfect for holding two different food types as well as having a convenient lid to allow you to take it on the move with you.
The lid has a built in lip to allow you to scrape any excess food off your spoon depending on how much your little one can manage in their mouths.
Underneath the bowl it has a built in non slip base and grip for holding and due to its size, it feels easy enough to hold whilst using your other hand to spoon feed.
Each compartment holds 2.5 ounces which is enough for around 4-5 cucumber / carrot sticks or equally a stage 1 baby food pot. Personally I like to use the compartments for finger food and then use the lid top with built in lip for baby food but you could just as easily use one for baby food and the other for finger food and thanks to the snap on lid, it means it easily stores in the fridge until next time.
We were also provided with a set of the Soft Silicon Spoon Set to try. I will note at this point that both products feel really good quality and seem built to last. I say that as we have what feels like enough bowls for the set of an Oliver “I want more” production however after time most of these are now scratched and although it doesn’t affect their use, it does affect their looks. OXO’s products don’t seem to be prone to this meaning they hopefully stay looking new for longer.
The spoons themselves are probably too much of a sturdy build for the early stages of weaning and although they had a lovely soft silicon tip, they didn’t have much flexibility compared to others meaning I struggled to scrape up the last bits left in bowls although the shallow spoon did stop me from feeding D too much at one time.
I would recommend the Divided Feeding Dish for weaning especially if like me, you love multi purpose and space saving products. The Soft Silicon Spoon Set is still a fantastic addition to your little ones feeding range but I would say after they get pass the first few months in their weaning adventure.
NB: I was sent both the OXO Tots Divided Feeding Dish and Soft Silicon Spoon Set free of charge in exchange for a review, however all opinions are my honest views.
