Last week you might have noticed a flurry of activity over on my Twitter feed as I was sent two mystery boxes containing the latest LEGO Minifigures Series 17 and tasked with taking up the role as the mystery minifigure and hiding all the other Minifigures accessories whilst leaving clues out for the little ones to find them.

The game was great fun and both H and D loved running around the house “Fun house” stylee trying to solve the clues (I did make them easy), and see what the collection entailed this time round.
As the title suggest, LEGO are now on their seventeenth series of minifigure collection as well as multiples of special edition ones like the recent LEGO Batman Movie or Disney collection. The packets are sealed, otherwise known as “blind bags” although if your supermarket allows, you might spot the odd child (and more likely parent) feeling them up in an attempt to minimise swaps. In series 17 there are 16 mini figures to collect which unusually includes a mystery figure. We were provided with an outfit to dress up during out clue setting, takes photos and let the kiddies try and guess who was the culprit
There are various different characters however our favourites included Butterfly Girl, Rocket Man, Pro Surfer and the Fitness Instructor.
Once both boxes and clues were solved, the final clue then lead them to the mystery maker / mini figure…. AKA me AKA Highwayman. There was even an outfit for H to dress up in so we could both assume the role and create out own mayhem on poor D.
We had lots of great fun and now have our own completed set so you won’t see me in the aisles of our local Sainsbury’s feeling up the blind bags this time.
LEGO Minifigures Series 17 are out now and are priced at around £2.99 each.
