We love doing things as a family at OneDadOneBlog and even more so now I recently started my new day job which involves a heavy amount of travelling during the week, it means weekends are even more precious to us and the need to spend quality time together, whether that be snuggled up under a duvet watching Netflix in the winter months or enjoying the fantastic outdoors are the weather becomes better… Thats why we are excited to announce that we have been invited to one of the most star studded family festivals of the year, the Geronimo! Festival
As official Geronimo Ambassadors we will be bringing you all the latest news and updates from this years events in May as well as updates over on my Instagram account during the weekend too.
Geronimo! is a festival aimed at predominately all those under 12 although some would argue parents with a secret crush on their children’s favourite TV personalities too. 🙂
Returning again to last years venue, Tatton Park in Cheshire (May 29-30) and this year they have also added another venue in Harewood House, Leeds (1-2 May), Geronimo is back with what promises to be a bigger and better line up than last year.
Geronimo will yet again be delivering an exciting array of acts, amazing experiences and wonderful adventures, including lots of new attractions – all resulting in a fantastic family day out.
Some of the highlights include:
- The return of Mr Bloom to the Geronostage Zone! Geronimites can ‘pop along’ and say ‘Ello!’ with Mr Bloom, where there’ll be a bundle of veggie stories, gardening games, and catchy nursery songs for toddlers and parents alike.
- Our favourite explorer, Andy Day will be performing his Dino Rap show filled with tales of his adventures to far away lands as well.
- Alex Winters from CBeebies will be hosting the main stage each day, along with daily meet and greets.
- Join Cook and Linefrom Swashbuckle in a rip-roaring pirate adventure! Full of fun songs and silly slapstick comedy, this energetic and interactive performance will be loved by children of all ages.
(Update: 28th January 2015)
The biggest star on British children’s TV will be performing for one day only at each festival on Sunday 29th May at Tatton Park and 1st May at Harewood House.
Known for his starring role in CBeebies shows Something Special, Justin’s House and Gigglebiz, Justin Fletcher will be performing his signature act on the festival’s main stage.
We’ll be bringing you more details of what the festival holds as we move nearer to the date but for now H (and the rest of us) are all really excited to be working alongside Geronimo and able to see some of our favourite children’s TV stars.
Tickets are available now for a reduced price for a limited time only so get them and further details at the GeronimoFest Website now.
